The workouts at our gym always include warm up, strength, conditioning, and mobility. Everything is customized to your level by a professional strength coach. Today's conditioning work includes thrusters and burpees.

That saying pretty much sums up my feelings toward 14.5
Judges and Athletes! The last workout 14.5 has been announced - please read the standards and watch the video. This will take place on Saturday at 12pm. Heats will roll as the previous heat wraps up (no designated time since there is no time cap). http://games.crossfit.com/workouts/the-open
If I actually make it to the gym can I start right at 6 so I can finish by 7? Lol
I was thinking along the same lines Pat. I may leave early Friday do I can start at 5:00 and have a chance of finishing when the gym closes for the night.

My time was 20:57 Jason....but I was just happy to complete it! 14.5 was the second time I had ever done thrusters.....it felt kind of like a twisted initiation to crossfit haha

18 min. 30 seconds. Hardest workout I’ve done at CFF but I’m thrilled. Thinking back to last year’s Open and how I struggled with thrusters, I’ve come a long way. Thanks to my awesome judge Drew who kept me focused and positive (and who CRUSHED his 14.5 right afterwards). It hurts but it’s a totally “worth it” typa hurt.
UPDATE: The fudge in the office lounge tastes even awesomer after 14.5.
Becky, you and I need to talk about diet next time we're in the gym at the same time. I'm obviously doing it wrong.

Congrats to all of you who did 14.5 today! Wow, I couldn't wait to read the results. So proud of you! Sorry I will miss doing it with you all this weekend. I will have to try it when I get back to make sure I can suffer equally. Not sure I will be able to finish though, LOL. Good job!
