JUDGES AND ATHLETES: 14.5 starts tomorrow at 12pm sharp! Heats will be posted in the gym. Please arrive no later than 11:30 so you can start your warm up if you are in the first heat. Heats will be capped at 30 minutes. Please watch and read the rules in advance so there's minimal explaining required:

My advice is simple: break the thrusters into smaller sets unless you are 100% confident in your ability to go unbroken (highly unlikely). Take your time on the burpees and just keep moving. Expect extreme discomfort, burning quads, and burning shoulders. There's no way to sugar coat this - it's by far the worst workout of the open and you will hurt. ENJOY!
What on earth are you talking about Tony, it was a lot of fun yesterday evening. Just a walk in the park. ;)
GOOD LUCK today everyone with 14.5! :)
My guts still haven't recovered. Enjoy all hahahaahahahahah cough cough blahhhh
Pretty much identical advice that I gave:

Someone buy Pat Barber a razor. But he's correct, the pain doesn't stop.
Beard=wisdom. Am I correct Sandy ?
14.5 scaled to 29 kg time 23:32 - official time DNF because the weight was not Rx
It was tough to have to accept that I would get no score on this one, but it didn't take long to realize that Coach Jodi was right in making me scale it - I would never have finished it and given my shoulder history and recent overhead weights all being light, I probably would have only hurt myself if I had tried it at 43 kg. Thanks for looking out for me (as always) Jodi! Coach is always right, even if I'm not happy about the decision at first :)
BTW 29 kg is the Rx weight for Masters 55+, so if I were 5 years older, it would have counted ;)
Great work everyone, and thanks to the cheering section - today's event was a lot of fun.
Congrats to all who did 14.5 today! Awesome scores I hear!
