CrossFit to me is so enlightening. How can something so demanding and painful some days, make me feel so alive and so happy. I have been involved in sport and recreationall my life ... literally since grade three! I have participated at all levels in Basketball and as of more recent years Cycling and Duathlon. I am a die hard sports fan and live-eat-breathe physical activity especially with my two beautiful girls and husband!!But THIS has created a NEW energy in me and it feels absolutely amazing! I was in a slump and so out of shape from a back injury that I needed this kick in the butt. My back is strong and I am strong! I walk with more confidence and perform activities with more confidence, all from your program! My strength gains are impressive and they transfer so well to the bike ... watch out this year! :)
Anthony and Jodi you are very inspirational to all who participate in CrossFit. I have said it before and will say again, you are a gift to the people who come to your facility and to the people who have yet to discover the CrossFit feeling!!!! And what's so great, is that everyone can participate ... it's awesome. You go above and beyond any trainer I have ever met and you exemplify dedication, honesty, and most importantly, balance of life that you both have. Our community needs you.

I just wanted to thank you both for all you have done for me. The first day (scared to death to come in) Tony and Jodi immediately made me feel comfortable and addressed my fears. The first night was awful to say the least. Thinking that one round of the warm up was the workout and having a hard time finishing the whole warm up in under an hour as well as not being able to squat left me a little frightened to come back. If it hadn't of been for these two great people and the awesome environment that they have created I am not sure if I would have been back. I am still scared to death to come in some nights but I continue to show up and it has paid off immensely with the support of those who encourage me every night. Words cannot describe the positive changes I have seen in myself since starting CrossFit and working with Tony and Jodi. Nothing has ever worked for me before but since starting CrossFit I have been given the tools to make the changes necessary for me to lead a healthier lifestyle. Anthony - I'm speaking for Andrew on this one. He really appreciated all of your coaching on his clean, and he also had a lot of fun doing "Embrace the Suck" with your coaching. He told me in the car that it was so awesome to push through a WOD like that with your help, in a CF gym, and have his form nitpicked by a certified trainer. He also told me that it meant a lot to have you say "nice job" at the end, and that he REALLY wanted to get 10 rounds for you!!!
We really enjoyed meeting you both. You have a fantastic setup with beautiful equipment. I'm off to the Y in a little bit and dreading to have to go back on that crappy barbell. We couldn't stop talking about our experience all the way home. You are a very cool couple and it's too bad we live a province apart!

On January 15, 2008, the first night we met, I weighed between 240-245 pounds, I had high blood pressure, and general ill health. Until then I had never heard of CrossFit. Luckily a co-worker happened to show me the website and I decided to give Tony a call.To say the first few weeks are rough is an understatement, but I stayed dedicated with an open mind (I had no choice) and trusted you both in helping me reach my goals. The results are measurable by the week. There is no magic system - but there is hard work and dedication. With CrossFit I found a safe, high energy, team work environment.
Today I weigh 180 pounds, I am healthy, and looking back on the on the last ten months I cannot imagine finding a better feeling then this. CrossFit has redefined who I am physically, mentally, and as an individual.
It's been a crazy adventure - going from absolutely no fitness history to where I am now. You guys have brought me from spending time "existing" to living life to its fullest. I have taken part in things that I never would have done before. Powerlifting competition, Adventure Race, TreeGo, Highland games, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and skydiving, not to mention the many crazy workouts we do. Friends and family barely recognize me!
All of this after starting from not being able to finish the warmup, not being able to squat with a broom stick on my back ... to squatting 315 pounds and deadlifting 405 pounds by the end of the year is amazing. I know that I accomplished the work, but without you guys none of this would have ever happened. Thank you.

I started off at CrossFit for a "filler" because of a sport I had just given up due to injuries. Once I really got into CrossFit, which was about two weeks later, it became a part of me. I started telling all of my friends about all the workouts we do, and they thought I was crazy for doing all of these hard-core workouts.Not only is CrossFit a lot of fun to be a part of, it is also helping me recover from my injuries. Tony had previously had an injury similar to mine and could relate to it right away. After seeing doctor after doctor, I hadn't received the great advice as I did from him. He showed me great exercises and stretches that no other doctor or physio therapist had.
CrossFit is such a great program that anyone of any age can enjoy it. The people are awesome to be around and it's an all-around great environment to be in. The competition is rough, but in a good way.

When I first stumbled upon the CrossFit Fredericton website I thought that it was "too advanced" for me and was only for elite athletes. I almost began looking elsewhere, but something caught my eye when I started snooping through pictures on the site: there were people of all ages working out together and apparently having a lot of fun in the process! Then I thought "Maybe this is just the challenge I have been looking for!" and I immediately emailed Anthony and Jodi and haven't looked back.In a matter of only a couple of months I have made gains in athletic ability and set benchmarks that I haven't met so far in my lifetime let alone since the last time I was "in shape". However, with all that being said it still isn't the best part about CrossFit. The best part is that it truly is fun!! Anthony and Jodi are top-notch trainers, that really are passionate about what they do, and it shows. They are super friendly and helpful and give each person the individual attention that is needed to progress and meet their personal goals. CrossFit works so well because of the support, the camaraderie, and, of course, the large variety of high-intensity work outs!
Without a doubt I am hooked!!

I had been exercising at a traditional gym for a number of years but found that my progress and motivation had really slowed. I attributed this to a lack of direction, structure and support.I discovered CrossFit Fredericton through some friends and have become a huge fan. It was such a nice change to go to a gym were people cheer you on when you get tired and genuinely want to see you improve. I even recently competed in the CrossFit Total competition and had a blast, breaking four personal records. I have made some great friends there and we are all in it together.
My main fitness goals have always been to be able to do whatever I want outside of the gym. Training with CrossFit Fredericton has helped make day to day activities much more enjoyable and easy. Whether its yard work, keeping up with my dogs, or climbing a mountain... I'm ready! I do what I want now, not just what I think I can.

My experience at your gym has been the more then I ever expected it to be. In the past it was very hard for me to keep at something, especially an exercise program, for more then a month. After doing the same routine over and over it seemed to get old real fast and on top of that when you are doing it alone it is very hard to keep motivated. This resulted in me finding it harder and harder to push myself to reach the goals I thought I should be reaching.When I heard about CrossFit I have to say I was not very open to the experience, thinking it would be like all of the rest... boys was I way off base. CrossFit filled all of my personal and fitness needs right from the first time I stepped through the door. Anthony and Jodi not only are excellent trainers (knowledgeable in overall health and fitness) but are always looking out for my best interests. Anthony and Jodi are trainers in the truest sense of the word. Even though I am in a group situation every night they give me the one on one feedback I need and are always within arms reach to answer questions.
The routines change every night and truly push me to do things I never thought possible... and with the amazing attitudes of the other members it is almost impossible not to want to do better every night.
I would recommend this gym to anyone who really wants to feel better about themselves, see progress in just a week or two, and want to learn how to do things right. As they say - seeing is believing!

I used to be a very competitive volleyball player, training at the Canada Games and University level. Both at which I had my own strength training programs. These programs were hard to follow and never produced noticeable results, making them even harder to stick with.When I first started CrossFit about 10 months ago I couldn't do a squat or a chin up - after about 1 month of consistently training with CrossFit Fredericton I was able to do both with ease. CrossFit is by far the best strength training program I have ever used. I have noticed massive improvement in my own sport of volleyball, including my vertical and overall physical fitness.
I think that the general format of the workouts and the variety of the exercises has all contributed to my athletic success but most of all the personal coaching and group encouragement that I received each night at CrossFit Fredericton has been essential. Without the aid of Anthony and Jodi I would not have been able to push myself to my limits each and every night and I am sure I would've injured myself by not doing the exercises properly. I have 100% confidence in both Anthony and Jodi as personal trainers and as mentors, I would go to them with any question about exercise, nutrition or injuries and they are always willing to help and/or set me in the right direction
I would recommend CrossFit and these two coaches to anyone who is interested in physical activity, training for a competitive sport, or just looking to get into better shape.

CrossFit has helped my fitness in a lot of ways. Mostly it helped me with my fitness in general (my deadlift from 175 to 205, from 15 to 30 chinups in a row, etc) as I had been doing CrossFit for a few months before I started going to the gym regularly. But it also helped me with my rowing as it has greatly improved from last year.It also helped me with my bronze cross swimming class and allowed me to carry people a lot heavier than myself (up to 80 pounds heavier than me) to the side of the pool without too much trouble.
I think one of the major reasons I was able to make these gains was because of the non-competitive atmosphere. A good example of this was when someone was having trouble with a lift everyone would cheer them on so they might get it. And everyone was happy for other people doing well instead of being competitive like people often are in other gyms.
This great atmosphere along with many other things kept me exhausted but completely happy whenever I came home from CrossFit Fredericton.

I have not been a member of CrossFit for all that long, but let me tell you, in the short time I have been a member I continue to impress myself more and more each day. I am no stranger to a gym, I have competed in a bodybuilding show in the past, but the work outs we do at CrossFit are unlike anything I have ever done before.You will find that you start to set small goals for yourself, and you see yourself getting closer every day. I considered myself to be in decent shape before I joined, with a "few" pounds to loose, but since I am looking into a career in policing, I needed to switch my workouts into something more challenging to improve my overall strength and endurance. CrossFit was the perfect answer.
When I first met Jodi and Anthony, the rapport was instantly there; they made me feel welcome, addressed all of my concerns and continue to be involved in all aspects of my fitness (because they both acknowledge the importance of healthy lifestyle, not just exercise alone). They are always available to answer questions, even when I am not at the gym, I guess my point is, they truly care about their members, and your training does not end when you walk out the doors.
Everyone is super friendly and we encourage each other through every workout. It doesn't matter where you are in your level of fitness; we are all there for each other.
If you are looking for a gym where you leave feeling like you have accomplished something great....this is the place to come. You have two personal trainers working with you each time (can't say that about many places), and no one is left to wander around lost. I love this gym, and I wish I had found it sooner. You insist on proper technique, understand the progression of the various drills, and are creative in adapting for those who can't complete the day's workout (injury or have not sufficiently progressed yet). That was the first time coming out to CrossFit Fredericton. I must say I was impressed with how organized it was. Go-Go Gymnastics and CrossFit Fredericton have partnered together to create, develop, implement and review a corporate weight lifting program.
