Go Team Bainbridge! Listen hard tomorrow, and you'll hear the cheering from clear across the continent.

California Update

Thanks to everyone who has sent their support - much appreciated!

Great news - we received our luggage this morning! Although I was half hoping I'd have to run the trail barefoot so I'd have an excuse for my slow time. ;)

Not sure how today will unfold - might check out the Santa Cruz gyms, might drive to Aromas to check out the competition site ... we'll see.

California Update

The SC gyms were closed (july 4th), so we decided to check out the competition site. Met Gillian, Dutch, Sevan, GregH, ChrisK, and a bunch more. Setup looks sweet. The hill looks ... more like a mountain than a hill.

Practised some chinups to chest, felt fine. Obviously more effort required and it will change scores compared to a normal Fran, but no biggie. I also heard they are setting the thruster bars away from the chinup bars so there will be more transition time. Fine by me - the more they change it from "Fran" the easier it is to deal with mentally. Right now it already feels like a completely different workout.

Weather won't be a factor - it's warm, but dry, so you don't get sticky. Air quality is good. The site is dusty.

I sure hope California is ready for the ass kick'n it's about to receive from the northeasterns.
I'd say Godd luck but luck has nothing do to with it, good coaching, hard training, and pure sweat angels seating on your shoulders will get you guys thru this..
KICK SOME ASS. your ready!!!
